Jacks Inn in Maui

Cute old style family restaurant. Definitely a locals spot. Went for breakfast, had some blueberry and banana pancakes.... delicious. Staff was nice and friendly. Prices not to bad, and its CASH only.... it's no IHOP, but nice to get some taste of culture. That's why were here right! Enjoy, Mahalo🤙

Nice an good service n food

Visiting Maui from Las Vegas in September we happened to find Jacks on our last Saturday morning. How lucky that was as this was the best breakfast we had our entire stay. Great service, friendly and the food was so good. Everything was cooked exactly as we asked for. And on top of it all the prices were more in line to what we are used to at home. Highly recommend this place!

Food is always good but they really need to clean the place up. Very runned down and needs refurbishing.

This is a great place to eat. I loved the papaya that was delivered fresh to me to scoop out and eat. I also loved how the banana pancakes were homemade with actual pieces of banana in the pancake. My only caveat is the place does not look very nice. It appears a little run down and old inside. The food is wonderful and the staff very nice. The restaurant could just do with a little bit of an interior and exterior makeover to attract more business.

Great comfort food and friendly staff makes this place an awesome stop for a breakfast meal.

Last time I got food from here was back in the mid-90s. Now that I live on Oahu, I always make it a point to eat here whenever I'm visiting.Glad to say that the food still tastes the same & service is great!!

Wonderful experience. Situated in a more industrial setting, Jack's is obviously patronized mostly by locals. Be prepared for their "cash only" policy, but you won't need a lot. We kept our selections simple for breakfast; two plates with two eggs served to order, toast (choose wheat or white), hubby got bacon but I tried the Portuguese sausage. As an afterthought we tacked on a banana pancake to share. Pancake was amazing; slices of banana in a fritter-like pancake, very thick but amazingly fluffy, and the best part being the light crispy exterior. Hubby reports he like the sausage better than his choice of bacon because he can order bacon any ol' time. Soft drinks are sold by the glass, but $2.75 for a large is pretty much equivalent to the smaller glasses with one refill that one typically gets. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was laid back. Overall we left full and satisfied spending only $22 before tip. Definitely returning before heading home to the mainland.

The young man at the door took our name and said it would be 5 min wait. We waited outside , which was hot but not a problem. We peeked in the doorway and he came up to us and told us "you can wait in your car or just leave". So rude, especially when we didn't say anything to provoke that. I guess they are thriving during these times and don't business. Not sure how the food is but we will never know.

If you want a good breakfast at a truly local place this is it. Try their homemade hash or loco moko. You will not be disappointed. Truly a gem in the ruff. This is what Maui is all about. Cash only. Friendly and welcoming staff as always.

Delicious food and coffee. Some traditional Hawaiian fare along with eggs, omelets, pancakes. Went for breakfast and had the loco moco. It was so delicious! Cash only. The staff is friendly and makes sure your coffee is always full!

I love the homey feel of this restaurant. The food is very good local and mainland food, as good as I would make at home. The wait staff is excellent. Altogether feel of family. Prices not sky high. 5 stars!!

AVOID. We are PT Maui people and love eating "local". Our ohana went here for breakfast & we deemed it the worst restaurant meal ever in decades on Maui. I had fried rice with an egg sunny side up, other family had corned beef hash with toast. My egg was barely cooked, the fried rice without flavor. The "home made" CBH was a patty from what tasted and looked like canned CBH. Toast was wonder bread. Coffee tasteless. We also got fried won tons. They were super small and extremely greasy. Bathroom out of order. Cleanliness level inside was one of general filth and disrepair. We wish it had not been like this.

Great breakfast food for an exceptionally reasonable price. It's nothing fancy, but it's not meant to be.

Great prices, large quantities of food, and very high quality as well. First burger I've had on the island that I didn't have to put ketchup on because it actually tasted great.P.S. If I was staying at a hotel in this area, this would be the restaurant id go to every other day!

Last of the local eateries that I grew up with. If your a local from Maui you know what I mean. This is Maui local comfort food. I love the menu. It is so diverse and the specials that they do everyday are incredible. The service has suffered in the last few years because of some new younger employees. I tolerate it because I hope that by bringing in some new younger workers that this hole in the wall comfort food joint will be around for a while. I know when I used to live in the mainland that this was one of my first stops when I would come back home. I don't think I have had a bad meal from here ever. My only issue has ever been poor service from New employees. But the owners try hard and are actually in the restaurant every day and always try and take care of me. My favorite is the dry mein . But there are no bad meals here just lots of choices.
